Starting over.

I am starting my whole blogging and logging hobby over!! So, how does every introduction go...

Hello!

My name is Jessie and Mariem is my middle name. It is a mash up of my two grandmothers names, Marie and Emma, pronounced Mari-Em.

I was born and raised in New Jersey and now living in Maine with my Fiancé.

I call this and my YouTube channel a hobby because I do have a big girl career, and I do not rely on these platforms for income!

I also love to make jewelry! I do have an Etsy shop {click on that to visit my shop!} and I also consider that a hobby!!

Before, this blog was all about beauty, where I would do reviews, hauls, tutorials, and everything you see a beauty blogger/guru do.

Now, I want this space to be a little different. Along with all of the previous content, I will also be including some lifestyle things. That may be recipes, a day in the life post or vlog, motivational people or things that get me in the right mind set, and everything very body and people positive!

I hope that you all hop on this journey with me in starting over. See you in the next post!

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush

I've been gathering bits and pieces, and some of them I still haven't used because I am waiting to take pictures of them for you all!!

It's a perk to have Sephora two shops down from my shop. I go wander and then end up dropping money on beautiful makeup that I just can't resist.

This is what I got one day walking in to buy nail polish.

I mean, who could say no to this?! It's seriously beautiful.

I chose the one in Luminous Flush, because Ashleigh who was helping me out in Sephora, helped me decide between Luminous Flush and Golden Fuchsia. They were similar, but Luminous Flush was less glittery, and more subtle highlighting!

It is very pigmented, which means you can over do it, very easily!

To see all the shades you can look on Sephora's website

Benefit Blush Kit!

I had the opportunity to use a Sephora Friends and Family coupon, and you better believe I took advantage of it!

I was going to get a new foundation, but I am the kind of person who likes to get more bang for my buck! So, I decided I wanted a little kit to get a lot of different options and use out of my purchase.
I was going to go for the Hourglass Ambient Light Blush pallet. Then I saw this beauty from Benefit!

Read on to see what's inside! [Plus swtaches!]

LUSH Mask of Magnaminty

I don't know why I haven't posted about this earlier!

I did post about this on my YouTube channel [Which I know I have not posted anything on there in a LONG time! I'm trying to get a new computer!]

Mask of Magnaminty from LUSH is super duper cleansing, minty, and exfoliating. I have super sensitive skin, and all of the mint that is packed in this mask stimulating my skin, and helping my blood circulate, naturally makes my skin a little on the red side. But, it's not irritated.

You can see me using the mask in my Skincare Routine video on my YouTube channel.

[What a horrible thumbnail picture! I don't know what happened to the one I uploaded]

If you want something to really cleanse your skin, suck everything out that has been trapped in your pores, get some of those blackheads out, this mask is what you need!

I only use it once or twice a week. Sometimes I do use other masks like Catastrophe Cosmetic, also from LUSH, if I want a more gentle soothing cleanse, but Mask of Magnaminty is ALWAYS in my closet ready to be used!

Have you tried it before? Tell me your thoughts! Also, tell me what your favorite face mask is in the comments!

NuMe Hair Styling Wishlist!

I just wanted to share something I've been lusting over for the past few days!

You can click the picture to check it out on their website!

I am always so lazy with my hair because when I work I always have it up. But, look at this set! It has everything! You can achieve any look with this, you can have loose flowing curls, nice waves, tighter curls...really, ANYTHING!

Plus, I REALLY love the blue straightener. NuMe has other colors it comes in, but Blue always call to me.

I know what I'm going after with my next paycheck. This Set is $200, however it is seriously worth it, you wouldn't have to buy any other hair tools EVER! (You may have to buy a hair dryer... BUT THAT'S ALL!)

Let me know what color you're lusting over! If you've used these before, show me on Instagram! @Jessie_Mariem

Instagram Memory Lane!

Do any of you just take a look through your Instagram profiles and just look through your memories?

I find myself doing that often! To look through the memories, and to also see what others perceptions of me are through my pictures. I thought I would take a walk down memory lane, and bring you along!

I won't go through all of them but just some really special ones

This one was taken a little over a year ago when Jason and I first adopted our dog Amelia Pond [Doctor Who anyone?] . This was her first bath that we had given her, and she took it like a champ!! I think it's pretty understandable why this is my most liked picture to date!

This one is only 6 months old, but it's another near and dear to my heart picture because this was the day that Jason and I got engaged! You probably won't be seeing too many wedding posts in the near future because we are thinking about having the wedding in about 2 years. We've already been together for 6 years, so two more years won't be too long!

Caesar, the Bearded Dragon that lived with us in New Jersey, and braved the trip with us to move to Maine! Sadly last winter was too cold for this little guy, and he did not make it through. Everyone loved him, and his personality.
How can you resist a reptile in a tank?!

There is a little snippet of my trip down Instagram memory lane!

Do you follow me yet?!

Benefit Gimmie Brow

I am fortunate enough to have pretty full and dark eyebrows, which don't call for much when it comes to makeup and making them look great!

But, there are some sparse areas that I noticed mostly in photos where I wish I could fill in a tad bit without being able to go over board and filling everything in.

The answer was Benefits Gimmie Brow! One of my staff members uses it and could not said more good things about it. She was in the same boat as I was in, didn't really need much, but wanted something to make them look great!

I went into Sephora, and I was really surprised that they only have two shades; medium/deep, and light/medium. I went with medium/deep and it's PERFECT!

It looks completely too light on the wand but it's perfect.
There are little brow minions inside to match your perfect shade once applied...haha! [just kidding]

It's a volumizing brow gel, so it fills in areas where you need it, and it also keeps everything in place, all looking natural.

I pulled these pictures from my Instagram, so they have different filters, but can you see a difference?

I didn't want it to be a drastic difference, so that's why it's the perfect new addition to my makeup bag!

The wand reminds me of the wand that is in Clinique's bottom lash mascara.

*picture from Sephora's website.

The price is $22 a bottle and it will last a very long time because not much is needed. If you find yourself using a lot maybe go for something more to fill in to get your desired look, like the Anistasia DipBrow?
