Fragrance Friday!!!!!!!

Hey Girls!!!!!
I'm sorry I know I've been neglecting this lovely child of mine (my blog, I don't have children!!) but, I have two good reasons!!

  1. I've been working late hours 5 days a week, and when I get my two days off, it's hard to wake me up for anything!!
  2. I am working with someone on two training sessions for the new resident assistants. If you don't know what a resident assistant (aka RA) is; We are people who applied and were chosen to look after residents who stay in a dorm/ residence hall at the University. We enforce policies, make sure the building is safe, quiet at times, and key people into their rooms when they lock themselves out.
Anyway, I'm not trying to make excuses, I'm just trying to let you all know I haven't abandoned my blog, I've just been a little busy.

I had to take this picture with my phone! Sorry!!
I received a bunch of samples of the Harajuku Lovers fragrances from Sephora one day when I made a purchase.

So, if you didn't know Harajuku Lovers was created by Gwen Stefani. She created figurines to represent her back up singers. Then, along came the perfumes to go with the figurines.

The one that is featured in this post is "Baby". This is the original formulation, apparently now there are different versions. I went on to be able to provide a link, but the only one they have now is the "Wicked Style" version. I'm not sure how different they are, but you can check out the Wicked Style Baby here

So, this scent first smells like sweet and floral. Then, the more you smell it, the more it develops into baby powder!
Which makes sense, since it is called "Baby". I'm glad I got this in a sample, because I probably would have spent $30 for the bottle, and then I would have gotten disappointed that I spent $30 on sweet-floral-baby powder.

This is without a doubt a daytime scent. But, if you were planning on going out later, you will have to find a scent that goes well with Baby, because it has pretty good lasting power!

Another reason that I liked the sample size is that, it is not bulky like the regular size. Each bottle has a pretty big figurine on top of the bottle, which is not purse friendly. Usually, I wouldn't carry a perfume in my purse, but in summer I feel like I sweat my perfume off...sorry, I know that's gross, but we all sweat! We're women, but also human! =]

Anyway, this perfume is very girly, very "pretty" smelling. I don't think it is worth $30. My thoughts is that your really paying for the bottle, and not the scent.

Have you tried the other scents in the collection?? Which is your favorite?
If you haven't tried them yet, which one do you want to try?

You'll see the rest of the collection in future posts!
