Fragrance Friday!

Another Friday, another Fragrance!!

"She had a cocktail in hand and confetti in her hair"

That is the concept to the new fragrance called "Twirl" from Kate Spade.

I received "Twirl" as a sample from one of my latest purchases from Sephora, and I was so excited to try it out! I was so eager, that I actually sprayed it on myself, and proceeded to look through everything else I bought.

My first impression of this scent was florally, and fruity, which makes sense if you look at the notes of the perfume;

"Mandarin, Bergamot, Baies Rose, Pink Watermelon, White Peach, Red Currant, Blackberry, Star Jasmine, Magnolia, Orange Blossom, Tiare Flower, Sun-Kissed Skin Accord, French Macaron, Luminous Musk, Amber" (Sephora.com)

With "Twirl", they wanted it to en-capture a garden in bloom, with a hint of fresh fruit in there as well. With those scents together, that's where the "perfect cocktail" comes into play. The cute but simple bottle has gold spots on it to incorporate the glitter. I think the concept was very well accomplished!

I'm not normally a floral scent lover, but I didn't mind this one.

But, as I was going on with my day, the fragrance was getting too overwhelming. This had to be the only time when I was wishing for a perfume, not have staying power!

Of course, the staying power was very long lasting, and so was my headache, and the stinging feeling in my nose!

The prices for this perfume ranges from $18 (Rollerball) to $80 (3.4oz bottle)

I can see people LOVING this perfume, but it just wasn't my cup of tea.

To be honest though, I might wear this to a afternoon outing, but I just will have to be careful with how much I am putting on.

This is the perfect summer afternoon fragrance, for anyone who loves floral scents!
